SummerTime

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Welcome to 2006...may your year have started with a bang and may it continue with much fun, laughter and pursuit of your dreams. We had a ball in Queenstown with plenty of fireworks.I am now ready for work and wanted to let you know where I will be the next few months. January looks like this: Christchurch Monday 9th, Wellington Tuesday 10th, Auckland Wednesday 11th-Sunday 15th. Queenstown Monday 16th - til early February. Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy Feb 10th-March 22nd, Auckland 23rd-27th March. Let me know if I can look after any of your imagery during those dates.

A TIME TO CELEBRATE
It is a time to be with family and gather thoughts as to what the past year has been....pack it away, keep the good bits and relaunch yourselves into a whole new unknown....I say GO FOR GOLD. New Year celebrations at Amisfield Winery were had by Lake Hayes couples (from left) Trish & Sandy Smith and Alf & Louise Bell. WOO HOO!
FAMILY PORTRAITS
Summer is the time of blossoming flowers and children too... the perfect time to capture them as they grow. I love photographing families in their home environment. The image is more comfortable and it puts the family in the perspective of that time in their lives. Here is the Parr family from Ashburton on holiday in Clyde. Give me a call if you’re thinking about a possible family photographic sitting.

A TIME TO UNITE
This is also a lovely time for weddings. Congratulations to a very special couple, Victoria and Kurt who (after 15 years of partnership) have united in a fantastic wedding ceremony in Arrowtown. Many thanks for sharing your awesome day. You made the most delightful images....loads of love. I was touched and honured to be your photographer.
TIME TO PROMOTE
This is the lovely Luci Harrison, a talented photographer and more recently real estate agent. If you are looking to buy or sell on Auckland's North Shore, Luci is the one to call, her Mobile is 021 933 268. This image will appear in her future promotional material. Now that you are rested you may want to look at an upgrade of your image, your website or your business card. Pomotional material must be current and interesting to capture your audience.

A NEW VENTURE TO LAUNCH
This are Tom Elworthy and Sir Tipene O'Regan with a prototype of their new venture Milford Dart. Do you have a new venture to tell the world about? A picture paints a thousand words and if you want some coverage, get a press pack together with some fantastic images. Humans think in pictures. How many times have you seen a snapshot of a special moment and all of a sudden, you can remember the whole experience, the people who were there, the jokes, the smell, the sounds....your memory is triggered by a single image.
NEW CHOCOLATE SHOP
"Nine out of ten people like chocolate and chances are the tenth is lying", says Alejandro Gimenez of Patagonia Chocolates. Pictured here with his wife, Lorena Giallonardo at the opening of their new store in Queenstown

OTC CLOTHING IS GOING OFF
Well done to the awesome Fashion on Q, held at Peregrine Winery last month. It was also the launch of OTC Fashion label "100% Pure New Zealand". The two sisters based in Arrowtown, proudly have all their garments designed and made in NZ. Their sassy streetwear is for everyone. Check out the range I am often wearing...comfortable, affordable and smart. Their website is www.otclothing.co.nz.
MY SPECIAL FRIEND
My darling Cosmo went to doggie heaven last month. Here she is with 12 week old Pinot. Some of you have never known me without my groovy sidekick. She was the most special Goldie... kind, loyal, always loving. Cosmo got to see more of New Zealand than most... she also made friends with every creature she met. Thank you to those who sent cards and flowers. All your special words of kindness are wonderful. She will always be in my heart, her memory will last forever.

ONE OF THE FAMILY
"To me you are special. Special, because you belong to me, and are mine. The fact that I didn't give birth to you doesn't make me less of a mother, or you my daughter. For mothering is far more than birth and growing is something that we can experience together at our own pace. I longed for you, though I didn’t know then your face. And when at last you were chosen, my life took on a new dimension. We were a family. Not flesh of my flesh, not bone of my bone, but still miraculously my own. Never forget for a single minute, you didn’t grow under my heart, but in it". by Clair Short.

"It's good to look at the LENS through which we see the world as well as at the world we see and understand that the lens itself shapes how we interpret the world" Stephen R Covey
